Throughout 2015 and to date Long Clawson Dairy has been raising funds for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA). It is a charity close to the hearts of many of our members of staff and our farmers and provides an incredible valuable life saving service with no government funding. Our total currently stands at a staggering £11,223.77 which will pay for 6 full missions, fundraising has included London to Paris Bike Ride, plant sale, bake sales, Christmas raffle and many more.
Our standout charity fundraiser of 2015 was the London to Paris Bike Ride completed by 10 riders all staff at Long Clawson Dairy. They embarked on a personal challenge cycling 180 miles of road between London and Paris. The team raised a tremendous total of £7,114.03 will all proceeds going to the DLRAA.
A bit about the DLRAA
The DLRAA attend to over 1000 missions a year, 5 or more a day – each costing around £1700. The service provides life-saving treatment and medication with rapid transport to specialist hospitals, for those suffering serious injury and illness. They receive no government funding and rely solely on donations.
